Ascendant:Infinity - Alien flora V2

I was tasked with tackling the vegetation and flora of the world in the early development of Ascendant:Infinity.

This was the second pass of exploring how the individual pieces of vegetation could look like after an art direction change. With this pass we put more emphasis on designing flora used in gameplay, as the game had a lot of in-world organic pickups that could be used as weapons by the players.

I also played around a lot using Zbrush sculpting combined with overpainting to try a different approach to these sorts of tasks.
